(1) 味道


taste: merely indicates the property: the fundamental ~s are sour, sweet, bitter, and salt.  国外说法基本味道是酸甜苦咸


flavor: suggests the interaction of the senses of taste and smell: a head cold seems to spoil the ~ of most foods.  如thehot, spicy flavor ofMexican food墨西哥菜又辣又麻，形容词flavorful美味的，如flavorful recipes美味食谱


savor: suggests delicate or pervasive flavor appealing toa sensitive palate: sipping slowly to get the full ~ of the wine.   (delicate表示精致微妙纤弱 implies exquisiteness,subtlety or frailty，如the play's delicate charm was lost onscreen剧本的微妙魅力在荧幕上消失了，形容味道气味时表示柔和淡雅pleasant,not intense or strong，如young haricot beans have a tender textureand a delicate, subtle flavour嫩菜豆口感细腻，味道清香淡雅)   palate腭上腭; 味觉品尝力


tang: implies a sharppenetrating flavor or savor: there was a ~ of vinegar in thedressing.


taste味道: 泛指该属性，酸甜苦辣，flavor味道: 指味道气味交互，savor味道: 表示或柔和或浓郁的味道，能满足敏锐口味，tang味道: 指尖锐刺鼻的

taste: implies aspecific liking or interest, whether nature or acquired: had a ~ for music; or a discerning appreciation based oninformed aesthetic judgment: excellent ~ in wines.  （taste表示喜欢兴趣时，介词用for，如本例had a taste for music喜欢音乐；表示品味或鉴赏力时，介词用in，如she has good/poor tastein music她有/没有音乐品味，如thejoke is in bad taste/isn't in good taste那个笑话没有品味，即冒犯别人）


palate: implies a liking based on pleasurable sensation: the discerning ~ of a tea taster.    palate原意腭上腭，这里比喻味觉品尝力


relish: suggests a capacity for keen gratification: seemed to utter the denunciation with great ~.   （to relish afight/ challenge/ debate/ prospect喜欢打架/挑战/争辩/前景，to relish anidea/ thought欣赏某种观点/想法，如I don't relish theidea of working overtime我不喜欢加班，作名词表示风味佐料，是用水果和蔬菜煮后制成的冷稠酱汁a coldthick spicy sauce made from fruit and vegetables）  gratify指心理上的satisfy满足


gusto: implies a hearty relish that goes with high spirits and vitality: sang all the old song with ~.  （hearty诚挚，形容真诚温暖洋溢，如received a hearty welcomeat the door门口受到诚挚欢迎）


zest: implies eagerness and avidity in doing, making, encountering, or experiencing:possessed a ~ for life.  对生活有热切的期待（兴致）


taste喜欢或品味鉴赏力:  指天生或习得的喜欢兴趣，或表示美学上敏锐的判断力和鉴赏力，palate口味: 指味觉上的喜欢，relish喜欢: 表示喜欢、想要(心理)满足，gusto兴致: 指诚挚地兴致盎然兴高采烈，zest兴致:  表示急切热切
